1 Guess Applying to 2 Rounds when holding spacebar

Platform: web

What happened: Holding down spacebar correctly auto-registers a guess when a marker is placed, but it retains and auto-submits that exact same pin location for the next round automatically instead of waiting for a new marker placement. (Can be seen in the image and time per round) Game gets suck on black screen and next round button gets pressed it jumps to 2 rounds later.

Expected: Holding spacebar should continuously listen for a new marker placement to submit, rather than immediately reusing the previous round’s marker for the upcoming round.

Steps:

  1. Play Round 1 normally but hold space to guess.

  2. Hold down the spacebar continuously through the round transition into Round 2

  3. Place a marker in Round 2 (it auto-registers as expected due to holding space).

  4. Without letting go of spacebar, the game immediately submits the Round 2 pin again as the guess for Round 3.

Note:

I haven’t been able to replicate it consistently but thought it might still be worth posting.

It usually happens when the opponent disconnected, before the round ends, and your next round guess is exactly there

This was in singleplayer, not sure if it happens in duels

Hey MC326, thanks for reporting this! I believe this should have been addressed already with an update made about a day ago.. So i am curious when you last saw this bug.

Could you do a hard refresh of the page and try again? If you still manage to reproduce the issue after that, please let us know and we’ll take another look.

Sorry for the trouble, and thanks again for the detailed report!

I completely forgot to respond sorry. I haven’t been able to recreate it since. I saw it probably an hour before my post so ~10am AEST Aug 16.

Ah ok, sounds good. Will mark completed for now but if you ever manage to replicate it, do let me know!

For me, I have a similar issue sometimes (it doesn’t auto-send it though) that when I click at the very last moment or something, it keeps my plonk in the same place at the start of next round.
