Direct Messaging System with Friends in Main Menu

Hi everyone,

We already have in-game chat while guessing, but it would be great to have a direct messaging (DM) feature on the main menu.

Right now, there is no way to talk to friends unless you are actively inside a round. It would be awesome if we could simply click on a friend from our friends list and open a private chat window to talk, catch up, or coordinate games without needing third-party apps like Discord.

A simple 1-on-1 text chat on the dashboard would make the game feel much more connected.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this!

I mean, 1 on 1 free chat (by that I mean not restricted to certain phrases) would just make WorldGuessr itself even more likely to be blocked by schools.

My goal was to kind of promote this Forum as a way to do that, but it needs much stronger integration with the game to do that. I’ll work on it, thanks for the suggestion!

As a temporary solution, why not add right click menu to open a player’s forum profile
