, what are some useful things to know that are easy to learn?
I’ve found this topic very helpful in some scenarios, but since it doesn’t always work, and because most of my knowledge comes from just knowing languages on signs, guessing accurately is still very hard sometimes. Any tips?
As tip for my opponents in the very first round of the tournament that cool_guy_53 will win 100%. These are important.
Check the sun, always useful, and also the driving side; only a few countries drive on the left side of the road. Try to memorise the countries that have street view. Finally, learn how to use the compass; if you see a big mountain, a lake, a sea, etc., you should guess a place that has that feature on the map in the direction opposite to the compass. (E.g, if a sea or lake is to the north, guess south of it.)

First and foremost is probably the bollards. They can help you identify at least the region of the world. On that topic, just playing the game a lot and getting a vibe of what vegetation and architecture is found where can help you always guess the correct region. I would also suggest learning specific metas only found in one part of the world that are easy to recognize, such as the Guatemala and Kyrgyzstan “car bars”. Car meta is a VERY important skill to learn. In big countries like Russia, car metas can help you narrow down the region. However, if you are very new to the game, I would suggest not worrying about specific metas. Focus on language and bollards. Finally, I would advise against relying on road names to much. My most important piece of advice is just play the game! Have fun, and if you play a lot, you will naturally pick up on somethings and get better. Don’t force yourself to practice over and over again, you’ll lose interest. Enjoy the game and you’ll naturally get better.
