I really like 2v2 and I think it could be more competitive if there was a ranked option for it and there could be a separate leaderboard for 2v2 ranked. An important thing to mention is that 2v2 ranked elo will NOT interfere with normal 1v1 ranked elo and will just be another thing players can grind for

This feature is highly requested, and Gautam is working on it, although we don’t have an exact date that it will release.
