Tip to get better at GeoGuessr

I am a beginner player, currently at about 2.8k elo and I am looking to get better.
As a pro (anyone really) how would you suggest that I learn the game.
Any tips how to manage my time between playing and learning metas, how to learn metas effectively, and what metas to learn would be appreciated. Also, it would be great if you could give me a basic blueprint on how to progress in higher stages of the game as well.

i learned by watching zigzag then looking at my mistakes and memorizing them

There’s a website called “plonk it” that has just about every meta imaginable and it really helped me get better. Even just getting the country right on difficult rounds can deal massive damage. I recommend learning the bollards (the short posts on the side of the road) in Europe, as well as the different sign posts in South America. This and lots of practice can get you to voyager or nomad. Good luck!

Yeah me too. His second channel with challenge links where he explains every round and you can play them before are really good cause he explains everything and it teaches you to look closely at everything you can see (especially on NMPZ)

Good idea, I’ve been using plonk it for a while now and have learnt some countries, lil bit of Guatemala region guessing. I’ve learnt all the bollards in the zigzag video as well. looking to learn pole metas, and maybe signs later.

no :sob: the whole point of the forum is for worldguessr. geoguessr and worldguessr are 2 different sites. the only offical sites that gautam has for guessr related is worldguessr and schoolguessr :sob: geoguessr is a different website we never say geoguessr because the 2 aren’t similar they got their own thing.
