How to know if its northern or western japan

Hi does anyone know how to recognise western or northern Japan? I thought there was a pole meta but apparently i always get it wrong.

As someone who studied Japan. You’d much rather learn how to differentiate northern Japan from Southern Japan. The difference from East to west is on of around 100km in most cases.

Call me Picasso. The one on the left are northern houses, and the one on the right are in the middle and southern part of the country. That is because the ridges on the roof make removing the sonw easier, while souther houses don’t usually have that problem.

You can try to learn the pole plates (I don’t know if that will help but still).

Not the Chugoku, Kansai and Kyushu, tho. From far they can’t be distinguishable, and rarely will they appear. Those just aren’t worth it.

Not that common but useful to at least know its somewhere in the southern part
