Nm ranked would be a very cool feature in my opinion. It would make the game more challenging, more enjoyable and would be a great addition to Worldguessr. Players would be instantly engaged and if it becomes popular, maybe you could add a 2v2 mode.

2v2 ranked is already being considered. Queueing times for WG are long in general depending on your league so adding specific modes would likely make queueing a lot longer
That makes sense in all fairness. After all, where I live, I don’t see much activity on the website, so when I do play ranked or unranked, it is a bit longer of a wait.

It would be pretty goated. But what if you are in the middle of nowhere? You’re basically cooked. I wouldn’t say don’t add it, im just saying make it hard but not too obious

The solution I believe can work is
Moving is automatically selected for everyone
You can choose to select NM or NMPZ modes
If your opponent also has NM or NMPZ mode, It will randomly cycle through them.
You get limited NM or NMPZ games but atleast the queue time is the same with slightly more preferences.
